WHAT DO I SEND?
People usually submit either a few sample pages plus an outline, or else
the whole draft copy.
WHAT
TO INCLUDE?
For
thinking skills resources to be of use to teachers and students, we
need to see:
1. Specific teaching
and learning outcomes (aims, objectives, skill development)
2. An overall planning structure/outline for teachers (usually one summative
page or a double-page spread, near the beginning)
3. Specific higher-level skills development noted
4. Evaluation section(s) (e.g.self, peer, teacher):
-
how do we know what the student has achieved? How does the student know? What
can we give the student beforehand so that they know the criteria to meet?
What "performance of
understanding" do we expect? Can be checklists, sliding scales, observations
etc.( We've got lots of expertise at this end, so we're happy to help out
here..)
5. A resources list (if the copy references
other items/books/videos/sites)
