JEAN
EDWARDS trained
in teaching gifted students in Toronto, Canada (she also has a Special
Education Certificate from University of Toronto for students at
the other end of the spectrum). She has a B.A. in Modern Languages
(French, English, Spanish) from the University of Toronto.
She's worked
with gifted students over the past 20 years and has held many workshops
and seminars on giftedness and teaching thinking skills, creativity,
philosophy etc.
Recently,
Jean has held workshops for the NZ Ministry of Education on creative
thinking with groups of teachers visiting from the U.K.
Jean still
enjoys the interaction of the classroom and continues to teach a
class of gifted students, as well as working with teachers.
Being a
parent of three herself, Jean freely volunteers advice to parents
of other gifted children. She also
finds the time to write teacher resources for the gifted and talented,
and thinking skills.
And Jean
is also passionate about computers (especially Macs!) and ICT. |
